FOSTER A PET
Foster homes offer shelter pets a chance to get a break from the shelter and experience the comfort of living in a home... which actually increases their chances of adoption (and decreases chances of returning to shelter due to unwanted behavior) greatly... while opening up a kennel in the shelter for another dog.
FOSTERING SAVES LIVES!
We provide all food/toys/medical care, and even assist with transport between vet appointments/meet-and-greets/adoption day.
Basically it costs you nothing but a spot in your home and a little love while we help them find their forever!
Short-term fosters
or "vacation" fosters
Fostering doesn't have to be a long-time thing... in fact, our temporary fosters who fill the gap when situations, like the one we found ourselves in with the two Heelers pictured on this page, are absolute life-savers for at-risk dogs.
The two Heelers names are Banjo & Buddy, and when they where in a sticky situation we where able to step up for them thanks to a foster who gave us a week while we navigated emergency placement... and allowed them to relax and enjoy her pool and plenty of play time! Their story is ongoing, and is a great example of how short-term fosters fill a needed gap in rescue.
On top of emergencies, we have fosters who go out of town or have a busy week and having a short-term foster step in for a little "vacation" for both the dog and long-term foster is HUGE!
HOW TO HELP
We are a small 501c3 nonprofit and run entirely off of donations. Our main focus is assisting existing rescues with transport of pets to/from appointments, fosters/adopters, etc. and other general support.
However we do occasionally intake/adopt pets out. We can only do so with fosters and the generous support of our community. We greatly appreciate your support!
Together we can heal our communities by helping one set of paws at a time!
Additional volunteer opportunities coming soon...
